Colin is a young, modern cow who loves playing computer games. Mummy Cow and Daddy Cow think that Colin is too wrapped up in virtual worlds and they worry that he is missing out on the real world right outside his front door. They do their best to encourage him to leave the house and go outside and explore. Once outside Colin is surprised to find himself having lots of fun and embarking on amazing adventures doing things that he has never done before. He is a massive fan of camping, dancing, listening to music and eating too much tasty cake.

Mummy Cow is a very powerful force within the family. She's the chief organiser for the family's adventures, always keen to learn and get the family involved in new activities that they haven't tried before. She wants to get Colin away from his computer games and fire him up to explore the great outdoors as much as possible. Mummy Cow is always trying to be the trendiest Mummy on the farm and she usually is.

Daddy Cow is a truly traditional cow. He likes standing in a field and taking in the fresh air and beautiful views. He wants his son to be more like him but Colin is a very modern cow who is interested in the new world of computer games and staying indoors. Daddy Cow doesn't understand this new world: he can't work out the text function on his phone and he has never used a computer. Daddy Cow is known for his classic rock n' roll dance moves that make the rest of the family chuckle. On the right occasion, he can be the life and soul of the party. Daddy Cow has been on the farm a long time and remembers when all the farm sheds were just fields. Daddy Cow loves fields.

Kelly the Cow is Colin's older sister and she is a real family girl. Kelly has strong ideas and because they are almost always good ones, she generally gets her own way. On the odd occasion when she doesn't, she lets everyone know how wrong they are! Kelly and Colin like different things and have their own ways of doing things but they both have big hearts so they usually get along very well when they are together.
