Rushbanks is a family-run riverside campsite on the River Stour in Dedham Vale. It’s simple, outdoorsy camping done properly: big grassy pitches, a beautiful river on your doorstep, clean toilets and hot showers — and the kind of evenings that end around a campfire.

Grass pitches (tents, caravans & campervans)

Pitch up on spacious grass with plenty of room to relax. You’ll wake up to birdsong, open skies and easy access to the river for paddling and wildlife spotting.

  • No electricity on-site (proper off-grid camping)

  • Hot showers and toilets available

  • Check-in from 2pm, check-out by 12pm

  • Pup tents are welcome (charged separately)

Bell tent pricing

  • £95 per night

  • Weekend: 3-night minimum (Fri–Sun) = £285

  • Midweek: 2-night minimum (Mon–Wed or Wed–Fri) = £190

  • £12 per night per adult over 2 adults

  • Children stay free

Bell tent note: Bell tents are fixed in place and allocated on a first-come basis.

Important booking details

  • Lead booker must be 21+ and staying on site (ID may be required)

  • Full payment upfront confirms your booking

  • Minimum stays

    • June–August: 2-night minimum for Friday/Saturday arrivals

    • May & August bank holidays: 3-night minimum (Friday arrival)

  • In Notes, include your group leader’s surname and expected number of pitches
